Snow Update

Lots of people have been hitting us up lately to find opening dates at all our local hills, so we made this little cheat sheet of everyone's opening dates and where they are sitting in terms of snow! Everyone is having amazing pre-season snow right now, which is super exciting! It's going to be an amazing year for snowboarding in Alberta!

Calgary Olympic Park:

They still haven't announced a solid opening date or blowing snow, but as the temperature starts to drop, they should announce a date for later in November.

Nakiska Ski Area:
It seems like everyone in Cochrane has a Nakiska pass because it's so close and affordable. They just pushed back their opening date to late November (weather depending), but it seems like they have snow out there! Here's a picture from mid October.

From the looks of it Kicking Horse is getting dumped on! They got 18cm in the last 24 hours and it's still coming down! Their opening day is currently set for December 10th, but I think it might get bumped forward with all the snow they are having. Here's some pictures of the hill and an employee getting in some first turns.
